Could do better
The one shower in men’s changing room was out of action. There are no fresh water fountains near pools for hydration. Pool users have to buy bottled water. Rubber mats on paths had gravel in parts. Having said that the pools were clean and setting striking.

Hidden Gem of Taupō
Beautiful, peaceful hot pools surrounded by nature. Different temperatures to choose from, super clean facilities, and a relaxing, quiet atmosphere. A real hidden gem in Taupō – perfect place to switch off and unwind.

A lovely afternoon
The thermal pools of Wairakei terraces are so nice that I'm planning to go back soon! Nothing fancy, but really comfortable, the choice of different temperatures for the water is really nice.
